WOLSINGHAM PARISH COUNCIL: CLERK VACANCY

Applications are invited for the part-time (16 hours per week) post of Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer to Wolsingham Parish Council.

Acting as the Council's Proper Officer and Responsible Finance Officer, the successful applicant will require excellent communication and administrative skills, a working knowledge of managing finance, facilities management, and have good IT skills.

The clerk must want to make a significant contribution to improving the parish and the local community by supporting and advising Councilors. Previous experience in a public sector environment, or Local Government, is important. The candidate should be self-motivated and hold the Certificate in Local Council Administration qualification, or be willing to study for it.

Terms and Conditions are based on the National Association of Local Councils and Society of Local Council ‘Clerks Contract of Employment’. Salary grade will be LC3/4 (£37568 - £55,274 per annum, pro rata).

The successful candidate will work from the Town Hall office in Wolsingham, with attendance at regular Council meetings (evening of the second Tuesday of the month) and occasional visits to outdoor locations and other evening meetings.
